Introducing Our New Executive Director
Garden Path Elder Living is pleased to welcome Cynthia Pearson, RN, as its new Executive Director, effective May 28th.
Cynthia comes with extensive experience in nursing and clinical management. Most recently she worked at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in various management capacities. Cynthia has a nursing degree as well as a certificate in gerontology. She also holds an MBA in healthcare administration. Cynthia has longstanding roots in the Brattleboro community.
Garden Path Elder Living is the parent organization to two historic Brattleboro Level III Residential Care communities housing elderly persons: Holton Home and Bradley House, which merged in 2016. “The organization is known for its highly skilled and dedicated staff,” says Board President Ted Vogt. “In Cynthia, we believe we have found the perfect leader for our team and for our residents.”
The Garden Path Elder Living Board of Directors would also like to express its deep appreciation for the work of outgoing Interim Executive Director, Bonnie McKellar. Bonnie came out of retirement last summer to help integrate systems and staff between Bradley House and Holton Home, to oversee the completion of the Bradley House Revival, and to bridge the gap to a longer term executive director. Vogt describes her as “one of the nicest and most capable people I have known. She brought to her position wisdom and experience, commitment to excellence, and quiet good humor.” Vogt also notes, “in Cynthia Pearson we have a person with a wealth of experience and a real vision for the future of our organization. We are looking forward to having her on board.”
